19/04/2023

Recently it came to our notice that there are FAKE TNG social media accounts and associated  PROMOTIONAL messages circulated, falsifying the fake news that TNG is now conducting a Top-Up rebate for TNG users. Please BE CAREFUL about this kind of fake news. Also, TNG has never used any third-party messaging service to send promotional messages to users, and will NOT ask you to give your sensitive information such as your TNG username, password, PIN, or OTP (One-Time Passcode) through third-party messaging chat platforms such as Facebook Messenger or Whatsapp.

Here are some tips to protect your personal account

  • Never reveal your TNG password, PIN or OTP to anyone or in any third-party platforms, e.g. Facebook or WhatsApp
  • Change your Password and PIN regularly
  • Always use complex passwords and PINs (e.g. NOT 123456)
  • Monitor your account for unusual activities or transactions

TNG has notified the Hong Kong Police Force of the fraudulent websites*. TNG strives to continuously enhance its security control to protect our users. It is important that you stay alert and vigilant in protecting your account, especially when sending money overseas.
